The Rev. David Andrews '76
David attended Muskingum College in New Concord, Ohio where he graduated in 1980 with a major in Religion/Philosophy and a minor in history. After taking a year off, he began seminary, attending the Episcopal Divinity School in Cambridge, MA, graduating in 1985. He was ordained an Episcopal Priest in September of 1991. He has served parishes in upstate New York outside of Syracuse, on the coast of Maine, and most recently in Wilmington, Delaware. He recently retired from full time parish ministry from the Episcopal Church of Saints Andrew and Matthew in Wilmington, Delaware where he served as Rector since January 2010. David and his wife, the Rev. Emily Gibson, have been married since 1984. Emily is a retired Episcopal Priest and they met in seminary.
While at Kent, David was a Blue Key guide and managed the varsity soccer and basketball teams his senior year. He was a Housatonic and rowed on the club level. David looks forward to serving on the Alumni Council and to giving back to Kent in a small way what the school gave to him 46 years ago.
