World Religions looks at religious traditions not covered in Theology. We explore Buddhism, Islam, Native American traditions, and Hinduism. We read, for example, selections from Black Elk Speaks and Ramayana. The theme of the course is to explore a number of questions: What is a “religion?” How is religion defined? What is unique about the study of religion as opposed to other academic disciplines?
Prerequisite: open to students in Fourth, Fifth, and Sixth Form.
