Discover what literature reveals about our humanity and the contemporary age in English 2. Through careful analysis of works of British Literature (including Shakespeare's sonnets and a Shakespearan tragedy as well as selections from the Romantic, Victoria, and Modernist literary traditions, you will deepen your understanding of narrative structures and their influence on culture. Through critical and creative written responses, as well as continued instruction in grammar and mechanics, you will strengthen your ability to express your ideas through effective, persuasive, and engaging writing.

Prerequisite: departmental approval for enrollment in Honors level.
