American Economic Crises
Examine 20th- and 21st-century financial crises in the United States in American Economic Crises.
By exploring basic macroeconomics principles and proceeding through case studies of major crises such as the Great Depression, the financial crisis of 2008, and the Coronavirus recession, you will build an understanding of the dynamics of the U.S. economy. As you analyze data to understand how these crises disproportionately affected the most vulnerable people far from Wall Street, you will broaden your view as an engaged citizen.
Prerequisite: open to students in the Fifth and Sixth Form. This is a one-term course offered in the fall term.
