Study the ongoing relationship between cause and effect in Advanced Studies in Modern European History. By demonstrating that history is a series of interpretations, you will improve your analytical skills. Through deep consideration of political, economic, military, intellectual, and cultural developments in Europe beginning with the Renaissance, you will learn to think about history, what it is, what it means, and why events happen.
Prerequisite: departmental approval. Students enrolled in this course may opt to take the AP Modern European History exam.
