Kent’s first Wellness Chapel of the spring semester brought the community together through a joyful exploration of music from around the world.
The service featured a special performance by former faculty member Jesse Ofgang, who filled the chapel with the unique sounds of the Uilleann Pipes, a traditional Irish instrument. His performance set the tone for a morning that highlighted music as a universal language.
Harry W. ’26 and Wellness Director Dr. Annie Kearney also shared songs that are personally meaningful to them. Harry introduced the community to a Cantonese pop song from his native Hong Kong, while Dr. Kearney led an energetic rendition of the Irish folk tune “Rattlin’ Bog.” Both spoke about the cultural significance and personal connections they have to their chosen songs.
Thank you to all who reminded us how music connects us across cultures and generations.
