Rashid Nuhu '15 Recognized in Fordham's 20 in Their 20s

Congratulations to Rashid Nuhu '15, recognized as one of Fordham University's 20 in Their 20s, a feature in Fordham Magazine that highlights graduates, all in their twenties, who "are amplifying the spirit of passionate engagement at the heart of the University’s mission."

Notably, Nuhu earned the 2022 Golden Glove award, designating him as the Goalkeeper of the Year in the USL League One, a professional men's soccer league in the United States launched in 2019. Nuhu's outstanding performance with Union Omaha has not only brought him individual acclaim but has also spotlighted his remarkable skills and dedication, earning him the impressive title of USL League One Goalkeeper of the Year for two consecutive years.

Originally from the West African country of Ghana, Nuhu began his soccer journey at the Right to Dream youth association football academy, eventually earning a four-year scholarship to Kent School. His success story continued at Fordham University, where he played a pivotal role in the soccer team's achievements and earned a degree in economics.

In 2020, Nuhu joined Union Omaha, and his impact was felt immediately. Contributing significantly to the club's success, he played a key role in securing a championship in 2021. The highlight of his accomplishments occurred in 2022 when he received the Golden Glove award, solidifying his status as the league's Goalkeeper of the Year.
