Megan Woodworth ’22 Selected in 2026 PWHL Draft

On June 17, 2026, Megan Woodworth ’22 was selected by Hamilton with the 42nd overall pick in the fourth round of the 2026 Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL) Draft, becoming the first Kent alumna to be drafted into the PWHL.

At Kent, Woodworth was a standout member of the Girls Varsity Ice Hockey team, serving as captain and earning the Victoria Ryder Bowl during her senior season. At graduation, she also received the Class of ’31 Bowl in recognition of her athletic achievements and leadership at Kent. Beyond Nadal Rink, she was an active member of the Kent community through Senior Council and participation in the girls soccer and lacrosse programs.

Following her time at Kent, Woodworth continued her hockey career at the Division I level at the University of Connecticut. During her senior season at UConn, she appeared in all 39 games and recorded career highs with 16 goals, 11 assists, and 27 points. She also led all UConn forwards with 41 blocked shots. Over her collegiate career, Woodworth totaled 31 goals and 34 assists for 65 points across 144 games. She helped the Huskies capture the Hockey East championship in 2024 and 2026.
