Kent Boys Hockey Plays in Support of The Scarlett Fund

Kent School Boys Varsity Hockey took the ice at Nadal Rink on Saturday, January 24, 2026 for a game that carried meaning far beyond the final score. The team played in honor of The Scarlett Fund, started by Scarlett J. ‘26 and her family to raise awareness and support the fight against pediatric cancer.

For the game, Kent wore custom blue and green jerseys designed specifically for The Scarlett Fund. Each jersey served as a symbol of strength, remembrance, and hope. Scarlett wore No. 11, a number with deep personal significance for her family and a cherished friend lost to cancer.

“My family and I were so excited about the game, and it was so wonderful to have the support of the Kent community in the works for raising funds and awareness for pediatric cancer research,” said Scarlett.

The evening also highlighted the power of sportsmanship and shared purpose. Salisbury School joined Kent in support of the cause, wearing gold ribbons and contributing to the game-night bake sale. While competitors on the ice, both programs stood united in the fight against pediatric cancer.

The Scarlett Fund extends a thank you to the Kent Community, especially Head Athletic Trainer Kayla Hayes and boys varsity hockey captains, Jack B. ‘26, Keegan S. ‘26, Lucas H. ‘26  whose leadership played a key role in bringing the event together.

The game-worn jerseys were auctioned off with all proceeds benefiting The Scarlett Fund.
