Art Students Create Portraits for the Memory Project

In a heartwarming initiative, students from Kent's Introduction to Studio Art and Painting classes have teamed up with The Memory Project, a youth arts organization that promotes intercultural understanding and kindness between children around the world through art.

The project involves students using their artistic talents to create personalized portraits of children in orphanages from around the world. These portraits will be sent to the children in India as special memories, providing them with a tangible reminder that they are loved and valued.

The Memory Project has partnered with orphanages and other child-serving organizations in countries including India, Nigeria, and Mexico for over a decade, and the handmade portraits created by Kent students will add a personal touch to this ongoing initiative.
