Mark Smith is the founding and senior partner of Smith Mustille LLC, a Metropolitan D.C. area law firm, which represents clients up and down the east coast and occasionally on the west coast. Mark has practiced law for 28 years, now with a focus on employment discrimination and civil rights litigation. His firm also serves a cluster of longstanding corporate clients, and a partner specializes in domestic relations law. After an eclectic undergraduate experience, including Washington & Lee University, Randolph-Macon Woman’s College, and the University of Maryland U.C., Mark attended the University of Pennsylvania Law School, where he received his Juris Doctorate. Thereafter, he was selected to serve as the Stuart Stiller Fellow for the Prettyman-Stiller Fellowship at Georgetown Law Center. He subsequently worked as a litigator at Williams & Connolly LLP and an Assistant United States Attorney for the District of Columbia before he started his own practice, which over the last 20 years has evolved into the boutique concern referred to above.
Since having been graduated from Kent forty years ago, Mark has been active in the Kent Alumni community. He and his wife live outside the District of Columbia in Montgomery County, Maryland. They have five children.
