Jim Mell '60
Jim Mell is a licensed alcohol and drug counselor. He and his wife, Karen, co-founded Step Ahead, a non-profit outpatient treatment agency for addicts and their loved ones in Succasunna, NJ, after leaving a major long-term residential rehabilitation center where Jim was the CEO and Karen the Family Program Director. Jim is a co-founder and past president of the NJ Alcohol and Drug Counselors Association. He has been choir director and organist for Knowlton Presbyterian Church for more than 30 years and a member and soloist for the Water Gap Singers for an equal length of time. A graduate of Washington & Lee University, Jim is the Class Agent for the Class of 1960. He and Karen live in Blairstown, NJ and have two children and four grandchildren.
