Girls Softball
Kent Softball plays a competitive schedule in the Founders League against some the toughest opponents in the New England Prep School Association. Additionally, the team travels to Florida during March break to practice and compete in five pre-season games against high schools from around the country. This trip is an excellent opportunity for the players to bond as a team while getting acquainted with our coaching staff.
Overview

Skill Development & Teamwork
The softball program at Kent School focuses on further developing players through hard work, discipline, and a commitment to the team. Our practices are fast-paced, and our goal is to improve each day in order to be competitive on game days. Early in the season, we focus on building a strong defensive unit along with excellent communication through various drills and team building activities. We coach our players through video, swing-analysis, speed-drills, hand-eye coordination exercises, and weight training with our strength coach.

Leadership & Character Development
Our performance on the field is a reflection of the integrity and character of our players. Kent Softball players learn about the value of winning and losing with grace, and representing the Kent School community with pride when we play.
Meet the Coaches
Coach Sean Lennon
Coach Lennon brings deep experience and a love of the game to Kent Softball. Having coached high-level travel softball with the Connecticut Titans for many years, at every age level, Coach Lennon's approach is rooted in player development and teamwork as evidenced by his Connecticut coaching certification.
"I'm very proud of all of the players I have worked with," says Coach Lennon, citing the players he supported who now play at George Washington, Hamilton, Wesleyan, Western New England, Southern Connecticut, Eastern Nazarene, Clarkson, Curry, Kings College, and more.
When not on the field, Coach Lennon is an active and engaged citizen who works with the Connecticut Department of Labor and has worked with the City of Bristol, the International Association of Firefighters, a Connecticut political action group supporting firefighters, and numerous committees in Governor Ned Lamont's administration. Coach Lennon is the spouse of Kent science teacher Nancy Lennon and the parent of Molly '22 and Nora '27.
