Meet the Coach
Coach Curtis Scofield
Welcome to the Kent School of Mountain Biking, where we're all about riding in the woods. With over 30 years of tradition since our establishment in 1993, our program has remained accessible to students of all abilities. We've also embraced the competitive spirit. Kent is one of the founders of the Housatonic Mountain Biking League (HMBL, or "humble") which now comprises eight schools. Our success isn't just about our history; it's also about our people. The coaching team, which has served for many years, is made up of certified and accomplished instructors who are dedicated to helping our students thrive on the trails. The youngest, an alumnus who rode in the program as a student, has expanded and ensured our program's vitality and passion for decades to come. So does the land: our trail system is truly one of a kind, offering over 20 miles of diverse terrain, making it one of the best among all prep schools. So, whether you're a seasoned pro or just starting your mountain biking journey, we welcome your interest and look forward to seeing you on a tour or during a visit at any time.
