Kent School is an independent college preparatory boarding school serving grades 9-12 located in Kent, CT. The Kent Baseball program has had a proud and rich tradition over the past several decades. Kent Baseball competes in the talent-rich Founders League, known as one of the strongest leagues in the New England Area and the country.

Meet the Coaches

Coach Patrick Kinsella

Coach Patrick Kinsella took over the Kent School baseball program in 2025, bringing with him over eight years of experience coaching high school baseball and football. Before joining Kent, he served in coaching roles at the Perkiomen School (PA) and St. Cloud High School (FL), where he played a key role in developing student-athletes both on and off the field.

A former two-sport high school athlete, Coach Kinsella brings a deep understanding of the game, firsthand playing experience, and a passion for mentorship.

“Ultimately, we want to empower the student-athletes by sharing the knowledge and experiences that have shaped us, preparing them to meet the challenges ahead. Our goal is to inspire and support their exceptional character, athletic excellence, and sharp minds. When we nurture these gifts, our players can rise to their fullest potential, not only in sports, but in every aspect of life.”

Under his leadership, the baseball program continues to strengthen its foundation and purpose, reflecting the school’s motto—Simplicity of Life, Directness of Purpose, and Self-Reliance—in both practice and competition.

Coach Kinsella serves as an assistant coach for football and teaches in the Mathematics Department.
