Kent Girls Athletics has a history of excellence competing in New England's Class A Division. Kent Volleyball was founded in the fall of 2018 where the team finished the inaugural season 11-1 playing a combination of both Varsity and JV programs across the league. Kent Volleyball plays a highly competitive schedule against all Varsity teams, with the goal to build a strong program for future growth as we compete as a Class A school in the Founders League, the highest level in the New England Preparatory School Athletic Council (NEPSAC). 

Kent Volleyball is widely supported by the Kent community and has access to state-of-the-art facilities. Kent has two indoor volleyball courts, one beach volleyball court, an incredible fitness center, and a varsity team weight room.  When we aren’t on the court putting in work, you can find our team in the varsity weight room with our strength and conditioning coach: Jim Zibro on Mondays and Thursdays, or doing community service before practice every Friday. 

Coach L’Hote graduated from Miss Hall’s School and Bard College, and has coached indoor and outdoor teams for two years at New York Elite club. Having played since sixth grade, Coach L’Hote made varsity volleyball her first year at Miss Hall’s School, where she was selected for the NEPSAC All Star tournament both her junior and senior year. In addition, she played for Berkshire Crush’s club for four years and was ultimately recruited to play at Bard College, where she started her freshman year and was awarded Liberty League Honor Roll her junior year. Throughout her career, she has taken on many roles and positions on the court, having experience as a setter, outside hitter, right-side hitter, and middle blocker. Being a well-rounded and determined player is a key aspect of her coaching philosophy, as well as having the drive to push oneself to excel and improve every time one steps on the court. She is excited to take this opportunity and nurture the growth of the players and the program.
