Athletic Hall of Fame
The Kent School Athletic Hall of Fame celebrates the athletes, coaches, and teams whose dedication, talent, and spirit have shaped our tradition of excellence. Honorees represent the very best of Kent—leaders who elevated their teams, demonstrated outstanding sportsmanship, and left a lasting impact on our community.
Established in 2001, the Hall of Fame recognizes exceptional achievement both during a person’s time at Kent and beyond. Alumni and teams are considered for induction beginning with their 10th Reunion year, and coaches become eligible upon retirement.

Athletic Hall of Fame Nomination Form
We invite members of the Kent community to help recognize individuals and teams whose achievements deserve a place in our Hall of Fame. Your nominations ensure that the stories and accomplishments that define Kent athletics continue to be celebrated.
The Hall of Fame Committee considers the following criteria in making selections:
- Awards received (e.g., Pater’s Mug, Class of ’31 Bowl)
- Number of sports played
- Number of Varsity letters earned
- Captainships
- Individual accomplishments (e.g., school records, all-league status)
- Team accomplishments (e.g., league championships, undefeated seasons)
- Collegiate and post-graduate athletic accomplishments
- The names of alumni, coaches and teams who have been inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame are inscribed on plaques in the Sill Trophy Room in Magowan Field House.
All nominees are considered by the Athletic Hall of Fame Committee, which is chaired by the Director of Athletics and includes alumni and faculty. The deadline for nominations is January 31.
