Strategic Priorities

Affirming Our Values, Building Our Future
Kent School’s strategic priorities reinforce our commitment to educating the whole student, developing intellectual strength alongside social, ethical, and spiritual growth.

A revolution occurred at the turn of the 20th century when a young Episcopal monk brought his radical idea for a school to life on the banks of the Housatonic River in northwestern Connecticut. This plan represents our continued stewardship of and commitment to Fr. Sill’s vision.
Our Vision for Kent's Future
Kent School’s strategic plan builds on two guiding principles: honoring the purpose on which the School was founded and ensuring that Kent continues to lead in boarding school education. As we look ahead, we are strengthening our community, enhancing our academic and residential programs, and caring for the campus that has shaped generations of students. At its core, this work reflects a simple belief: Kent should be both grounded in its history and responsive to the needs of today’s students—cultivating scholarship, character, and a strong sense of community for the future.
