JOANNA
ALBRECHT , Voice Instructor
Ms. Albrecht received a B.A. in music and M.F.A.
in theatre from Smith College. She has, in addition,
studied music and voice with David Blair McCloskey
(Boston Conservatory), Franz Kelch
(Leopold Mozart Konservatorium, Augsburg, Germany),
and Julia Drobner (New York City). Her career has
embraced opera, operetta, oratorio and musical theater
in the United States, Germany and Austria. Her
U.S. appearances have included solo performances
at the Kennedy Center, Emmanuel Church (NYC) Weill
Recital Hall, Town Hall, Avery Fisher Hall, and
the New York State Theatre. She has performed as
a singer –actress in off-Broadway musical theatre
and has performed the role of the Mother Abbess
in six U.S. productions of The Sound of Music.
Ms. Albrecht was soprano soloist with the Martha
Graham Dance Company at the Met, Covent Garden,
on Broadway, and in the PBS “Dance in America” TV
series. She is a member of the National Association
of Teachers and Singing and the Music Teachers’
National Association, and performs with Columbia
County’s (NY) Lively Arts and Trio da Cameera Chamber

Nina Dryer – Strings Instructor
Nina Dryer holds an AB from Georgetown University in Philosophy, an MA in Arts and Administration from the University of Cincinnati’s College Conservatory of Music and K12 Music Certification through Western Connecticut State University (WCSU). Her teachers include Chris Finckel (cello), Borivoje Angelich (violin) and Raymond Stillwell (viola). Ms. Dryer studied quartet performance with members of the WCSU String Quartet under the direction of Eric Lewis of the Manhattan String Quartet. She has taught violin, viola and cello lessons at Dutchess Day School, South Avenue School and Marist College, and currently maintains a private studio in her home in Lagrangeville, New York. She performs regularly with the Northern Dutchess Symphony, Newburg Symphony, the Jimmy Sturr Polka Band, and various Celtic and folk music ensembles.

Suzanne McDonald - Director of the Choir, Chamber Choir, Kentones and Kentettes, Chapel Organist, Music Survey, and pianist for the Spring Musical
Ms. McDonald received her Masters of Music in Organ Performance from The Boston Conservatory of Music. She studied under James David Christie, organist of The Boston Symphony. Her undergraduate studies were at Loyola College and McGill University where she studied with the reknowned organist Bernard Lagace. After her undergraduate studies she was assistant organist at Christ Church Anglican Cathedral in Montreal P.Q.Canada. Before returning to the U.S. she completed her choral and organ studies in England at the Royal School of Church Music. Ms. McDonald’s choral experience ranges from directing small chamber ensembles to large choral groups. Previously, Ms. McDonald taught at The Chatham Hall School in Virginia, and at Duke Middle School and Sandhills Community College, both in North Carolina. In recent years she was on the music staff at Chapel of the Cross ( Episcopal) and University United Methodist Church in Chapel Hill, North Carolina
