Boo Nieves '12 Drafted to the New York Rangers
The New York Rangers selected Cristoval "Boo" Nieves '12 in the second round of the 2012 NHL draft. The 6-foot-3, 184-pound Nieves was the 59th draft pick overall.
Boo heads to the University of Michigan in September, the alma mater of his Kent hockey coach, Matt Herr.
Says Herr, "Boo made great contributions to both the hockey team and overall community. The impact he had on our program and school will be felt for years to come. I look forward to watching him progress at Michigan." Congratulations, Boo!
