Instead of purchasing milk from a far-away factory, we are happy to announce the switch to a local dairy for our bulk milk.
Arethusa Farm Dairy, located in Litchfield, Connecticut will be our new supplier. It is milk from a single, hormone- and antibiotic-free herd. The herd has the benefit of living in clean and pleasant conditions.
What will Kent students and faculty notice? This milk tastes better. Arethusa uses a low temperature pasteurization that results in better and richer tasting milk. Make sure to try the chocolate milk -- it tastes like ice cream!
This move adds to the great environmental changes we're making, including the campus farm, the trees planted along the river bank, and the geothermal energy in the new dorm.
