For the twelfth year, Kent students are participating in Habitat for Humanity's Collegiate Challenge, a time for students to spend an entire week at a Habitat build site. This is Kent's sixth year volunteering with the Lynchburg, Virginia affiliate, and we keep coming back for the wonderful hospitality and organized staff at work site.
Eight students and one faculty member will arrive to nothing but a foundation, and leave five days later having built the frame of a house, including exterior and interior walls, roof trusses, and a porch. Subsequent groups will finish work on the house so that a family will be able to move in by the end of the spring.
