Two professors from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania recently visited campus for a workshop on business and entrepreneurship.
Dr. Keith Weigelt, Marks-Darivoff Family Professor of Strategy at The Wharton School and Ms. Stacy L. Franks, Associate Director of the Field Application Project at The Wharton School Management Department presented to a full house of students interested in starting their own businesses, inventing, and pursuing an MBA after college.
Professor Weigelt presented a model for teaching and encouraging entrepreneurship among high school students. Following his presentation, students participated in an energetic half-hour Q-and-A session with the Professor on topics as diverse as financial literacy, profit motives, product development and marketing, social impact, and funding start-ups.
