Mr. Saxton, Chairman of the Mathematics Department, has been appointed to the Brophy Teaching Chair in Mathematics.
Kevin Saxton, a native of Palo Alto, California, earned his A.B. in Computer Science from Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine in 1999.
At his graduation, he won the computer Science Senior Award and the Chase Memorial Award for Scholar-Athlete.
Mr. Saxton was co-captain of the Bowdoin Football Team and an All-American Football Player.
At Palo Alto High School he was captain of the Swimming Team and he was an Eagle Scout.
Mr. Saxton was appointed to the Kent faculty in 2003.
He and his wife, Julie, have two children, Linnea and William.
