At a dinner held at Cumming House on October 26, 2010 Dean of Students Cathe Mazza was honored for her appointment to the
William H. Armstrong Teaching Chair in Student Life.
Ms. Mazza was graduated from Kent School in the Class of 1976. She went on to earn her B.A. at Marietta College in Marietta, Ohio.
She then received a M.S. degree in Journalism from Boston University.
Ms. Mazza returned to Kent in 1981. Over the course of her exemplary career here she has been a teacher, coach, counselor, athletic trainer, dorm head and dean of students.
She is also active in the Town of Kent as a member of the Kent Volunteer Fire Department.
Dean Mazza’s Teaching Chair is named in memory of Kent’s long-time faculty member Mr. Armstrong who taught General Studies.
