Senior Leadership Commissioning Ceremony

Senior Leadership Ceremony“We hold this ceremony, always on a beautiful day like today, at the beginning of the year, to make a statement: that the leadership of the Sixth Form -- each member of the Class, as well as the Senior Council -- is the key to a great year at Kent.  We present these silver pins to each member as a mark of the trust and hope our community has placed in the Class of 2010. I hope you will wear yours with pride and have a great year at Kent.”
-- Remarks by Richardson W. Schell, Headmaster and Rector

The Senior Leadership Commissioning Ceremony is one of the traditions that ushers in the new school year. It is an all school assembly that recognizes the 6th form. Following brief remarks (above) on their responsibilities, the Headmaster greets each of them and presents them with their sixth form pin. This silver pin was originally designed for the Centennial and now serves to mark this important step in a student’s life at Kent.
