Flutist Eun Sun Choi and pianist Sharon Chi participated in a statewide competition held at the Danbury Music Center to earn the opportunity to perform with the Danbury Symphony Orchestra.
Miss Choi won first place in the 7th Annual Danbury Symphony Orchestra Student Concerto Competition with her performance of the first movement of the Flute Concerto in D Major by Reinecke. Miss Chi won first runner up with her performance of the first movement of the Piano Concerto No. 1 in D Minor by Bach.
In honor of her recent achievement, Miss Choi will perform her award-winning performance with Danbury Symphony Orchestra. “I am very excited to perform with the orchestra,” she says. “I believe it is the most valuable prize and experience for a musician.”
