We are here all summer.
If you didn’t get a chance to check your local admin password before leaving campus, you should still take this step to avoid problems with your computer during the summer.
In XP, log in as Administrator. In Vista, log in as LAdmin. If you can recall your password and are able to log in, skip to Step 2.
If not, you need to reset your local admin password. Choose a hard-to-guess password and keep it safe. If you forget this password and get locked out of your computer, we cannot help you unless the computer is brought to the tech center.

In the Computer Management window, click on Local Users and Groups. In the right column, double-click on Users.
Right-click Administrator and click Set password. Enter a good password.
