One hundred years ago, Frederick H. Sill "Pater" founded Kent School for boys on the banks of the Housatonic River based on a vision and three fundamental principles--Simplicity of Life, Directness of Purpose, and Self Reliance. These principles have successfully guided our School, its headmasters, teachers, students and alumni/ae for a century.

As a tribute to our founder, in celebration of Kent's Centennial and as an inspiration to current students and future alumni/ae, the Alumni Council established "The Reverend Frederick H. Sill, O.H.C. Society" to honor Kent alumni/ae for personal achievement and distinguished service to mankind that bring honor and distinction to themselves and to Kent School.

Following the nomination process--based on recommendations from alumni, parents and friends--and an election, the Council announced the memorial class, to which alumni were elected posthumously. They can be found at right, preceded by the individuals elected as part of the Society's inaugural class.

The Alumni Council wishes to thank the Kent School community for their interest, support and response to this endeavor. The Sill Society will continue each year with potential additional elections of both living and deceased male and female Kent alumni.
