Parents' Weekend: October 12 - 14, 2007

Dear Parents,

We look forward to hosting Fall Parents Weekend and ask that you follow the instructions noted below with regard to scheduling Parent Teacher conferences. Your help with this process is appreciated.

Registration will take place in the Science Building Lobby beginning at noon on Friday and 7:00 a.m. on Saturday. Copies of schedules indicating the day, time and location of your parent/teacher appointments will be available at registration.

To schedule Parent Teacher Conferences, we need you to return the enclosed request card that was mailed to you or you may schedule by using the form below. To expedite planning for this weekend, I urge you to respond promptly. Requests should be numbered in order of preference and need not include all of your child’s courses. We ask that you give us the flexibility of scheduling appointments on both Friday and Saturday. Those living nearby are asked to utilize Friday afternoon conferences. Please indicate your availability for conferences on the request card. Conferences will be ten minutes in duration.

Because of limited meeting times, we can accommodate no more than one family conference with each teacher. With the exception of parents of 6th formers who may schedule meetings with college counselors, conferences are available only for classroom teachers.

We will notify you of your conference schedule ( provided your requests are received in a timely manner) approximately two weeks in advance of Parents Weekend. Lodging reservations should be made well in advance. A list of area motels and hotels will be mailed from the Deans' Office in the fall or you may view Dining and Lodging on-line.

Thank you for your help with the registration process. We look forward to your participation in this special weekend.

Sincerely,

Todd Marble
Director of Student Activities
