She has risen to the occasion in every game with magnificent defense, often featuring acrobatic dives or somersault catches. This season, "Slasher" is the team's main shut-down defender, and has taken many skilled opposing attack men off of their games. In Kent's triple overtime thriller versus Taft, Kevin made their best player largely invisible in the 4-3 Kent win. Writes coach Tim Booth, "Kevin is an amazing young man. His smile lights up a room. Kevin Lee represents the best of Kent, and as his coach and teacher, I am proud and privileged to have been a small part of his life over these last few years." Congratulations, Kevin! |

TYLER CATALINA'12 In Kent's quad match last week versus Loomis, Kingswood, and Avon, Tyler shot an outstanding 36, one over par. Though it wasn't quite enough to earn Medalist honors, it was the best score for a Kent golfer in that match, and his best match performance this season. Tyler has shown dedication to the sport, and to the team. He has been working hard to improve his game. Tyler is a great long ball hitter, and as he perfects his short game, he will certainly be a force to be reckoned with in the league. Plaudits to Tyler on a round well played. Congratulations, Tyler! |

DANIEL HEDDEN '12 First year varsity baseball coach Dr. Michael Green had high praise for Kent's initial male Athlete of the Week. "Dan Hedden pitched 9 nearly flawless innings in Saturday's 4-1 road victory at Choate. Giving up just 1 run on 2 hits and a single walk, Dan, literally, had a career day. What made his performance so memorable was his ability to bear down and come back when he would get behind on the count to Choate hitters. In addition, his hard work to keep runners close, especially in the final inning, helped to ensure the win. For his outstanding performance, I recommend Dan Hedden" |
