PIERRE-LUC CARON '12 Throughout the season, Pierre-Luc has been a mainstay on defense and special teams for the Lions. Yet again on Saturday, he was among the leading defenders in terms of production as an inside linebacker, and also excelled as long snapper and Tight End. In most dramatic fashion with the team's back against the wall, he hauled in a 45 yard pass from Tevaun Smith to seal Kent's come-from-behind win, and secure a spot in this week's New England Championship game versus undefeated Taft. Congratulations, Pierre-Luc! |

HADLEY BIAGIOTTI '12 Hadley Biagiotti is a great example of hustle and determination in practice every day, when champions are made. On Saturday versus Loomis Chaffee, she scored two phenomenal goals against a very strong Class A tournament-bound opponent. Her two goals on outside strikes allowed us to put more balls past the Loomis net-minders than they had given up all year. They had given up a maximum of three goals going into the Spoon Day, and we scored 4. Hadley was also a very strong defensive presence, helping to control the attacking flank play of the strong Loomis squad. |

NICOLE MARVIN '12 Nicole Marvin continued her consistently outstanding cross country season by winning the Founders League Cross Country Championship for the second year in a row. Running even splits, and then dropping the hammer in the last mile, she pulled away from the field to win by over 30 seconds. Her time of 19:01 broke the existing Hotchkiss course record by an impressive 26 seconds. With her speed and determination, the squad looks forward to Nicole's performance at this weekend's New England Championship at Groton. Congratulations, Nicole! |

FELIX STROOTMANN '14 Felix has been a quiet hero for the boy's varsity soccer team. He is a gritty 90 minute gamer, who brings his best effort to every match. He has been called on to play different roles in different games, and always rises to the occasion. This past weekend, Felix proved himself to be one of the most influential players on the field in a high-intensity match versus rival Hotchkiss. He never shies away from a challenge, is an ideal teammate, and is consistently there with a smile or a pat on the back. Coach Booth states that "it has been an honor to coach Felix this year, and it is a privilege to watch him play the game". Congratulations, Felix! |

CHRISTOPHE MULUMBA '12 Chris had an outstanding game on both sides of the ball in Kent's 41-9 win over previously undefeated and #1 ranked Salisbury this past Saturday. On defense, he had 3 unassisted and 4 assisted tackles, and also a pass breakup. He, and fellow co-captain Pierre-Luc Caron, leads the team in defensive statistics with 117 and 113 points, respectively. Offensively, Christophe rushed for 53 yards on 7 carries, and accumulated another 111 yards through the air on 5 receptions. He and Pierre-Luc will lead the team in a key Erickson League matchup versus an outstanding Taft team this weekend. Congratulations, Chris! |

ELIZABETH QUARTARARO '13 Lizzy has had a couple of outstanding weeks in succession. Earlier this season, she scored the game-winner versus The Gunnery. Her performance in the squad's recent overtime victory versus Pomfret was outstanding. She came through once more this day, setting up Elizabeth Reed's goal in Kent's sudden victory, and assisted on the team's lone goal in a tough 2-1 loss against Ethel Walker. Quite a run! Lizzy has outstanding speed on the field, and dribbles the ball well. She has fantastic attitude, and works hard during practices. She is a great role model for the younger players, and has provided the offensive spark that the field hockey team needs. Congratulations, Elizabeth! |

JORDAN TEAGUE '12 Versus Avon Old Farms this past Saturday, Jordan stepped in to replace injured quarterback Chris Allam, and led the team to a hard-fought 13-7 overtime win, scoring the winning touchdown on a spectacular run in the overtime period. Kent's leading rusher with 234 yards in four games, and a 7.3 yard per carry average, Jordan has been a solid performer on offense, defense, and special teams in each of the four games to date. He is a versatile athlete who has played multiple positions for the Lions, and is prepared to take over the reins as Kent's signal caller down the home stretch. Congratulations, Jordan! |

GLYNIS COYNE '12 Glynis Coyne has been the backbone of the defense for the team this season. As Captain, she is a positive presence on the field. Glynis regularly comes up with important plays in big games, and was instrumental in holding Deerfield to a 1-0 first half lead. She is a fierce competitor, and consistently one of the most aggressive players on the field. She seldom takes herself out, and we would be in trouble if she did. Glynis is the center of communication on defense, takes the majority of free hits coming out of the circle, and always seems to be in the right place at the right time. Congratulations, Glynis! |

GARRETT OSBORNE '12 Garrett has made significant progress as a runner and an athlete as a four year veteran of the team. This year as Captain, he's been an eager leader; sometimes quiet, but always confident, and present in the moment. Garrett has invested a great deal of time and energy in the sport, and has been rewarded with what has been his best season thus far. Coach Jeremy Sokolnicki nominates Garrett "for his very positive attitude, subtle leadership, willingness to try new things without hesitation, and eagerness to push himself physically and mentally in this fun, yet challenging sport." |

TEVAUN SMITH '12 Tevaun Smith scored 4 touchdowns- 1 by rushing, 2 on pass receptions, and another on a kickoff return, in Kent's 54-21 victory over a talented Trinity-Pawling team this past Friday. His statistics were outstanding, including 81 yards rushing, 59 yards receiving, and 80 return yards. Tevaun would be the first to say, however, that this production would not have been possible without the tremendous efforts of his teammates. Their outstanding work ethic throughout a tough week of practice culminated in this resounding victory. Kent is preparing for a stiff challenge from Brunswick on Friday night. |

EMMA FISCHER '15 Emma Fischer played a significant role in her team's 6-1 win over Ethel Walker School. She scored four unassisted goals, creating opportunities for herself and others by taking on weaker defensive players one on one. She also distributed the ball well when she was pulled back to midfield later in the game. Emma also ignited a comeback versus Westminster last Wednesday. Kent was down 3-1, when Emma took on several defenders, drew them to the right, then rocketed a shot into the left side of the goal. Emma will be a major player this year, as she and the rest of the team learn to work the ball down the field quickly and purposefully. Congratulations, Emma! |

RASHID NUHU '15 Coach Tim Booth issues high praise for Third Former Rashid Nuhu. "Rashid Nuhu, the starting goalkeeper, is off to an amazing start to his Kent career, allowing just one goal in the first 3 matches of the season, all wins. Certainly, credit is due to the players in front of him, but no one questions this third former's talent. Besides being a phenomenal ball stopper, Rashid plays his position with great maturity and headiness. Whether commanding his box, helping to organize his defense, or distributing the ball, Rashid plays at a level well beyond his years. He brings purpose to his work on the pitch and off at Kent." Congratulations, Rashid! |

"Captain Murray sparked a terrific start to our season, exploding for 4 goals in our opening 2 matches. Showing flexibility in playing several positions, Murray took full advantage of her speed and dynamic playmaking abilities to pressure the defenses of both Canterbury and Ethel Walker. Congratulations, Kayleen! |
