Girls Varsity Tennis enjoyed a highly successful 9-4 season, highlighted by team wins over Taft, Chaote and Miss Porters. The team also performed well at the deVillafranca Tournament, tying Deerfield for fourth place and defeating Exeter, Taft, Choate, Miss Porter’s, Westminster among others.
The #1 doubles team of Haley Smith and Anne Peters finished #2 in the league in doubles, losing only 1 match all season. Their best matches included a straight set victory over Hotchkiss and a three set victory over Taft.
Ashley Pardoe, team captain, won the consolation singles final at the deVillafranca Tourament, defeating the #1 player from Taft in two sets.
Other standout players included Meghan Kelly at #3 singles and Toni Zahn at #4 singles. Ellie Pardoe and Sonia Drojowska also compiled an impressive doubles record.
