Season Summary

Boys Varsity Hockey was competitive in virtually every game this season in the ever-challenging Founders League. The Lions out shot the opposition in the majority of games, but the team had difficulty converting offensive opportunities into goals. Kent was lead offensively by senior Captain Marc Bucks and Assistant Captain Dennis Desjardins, both with 19 points. The team’s season highlight was wining the Kent-Hotchkiss Cup for the first time in three seasons. Strong goaltending from junior Kyle Rank in a 5-2 win at home and a 1-0 loss at Hochkiss secured Kent the Cup, based on overall goal differential. Though the team struggled to win games, the players never lost their desire or intensity and played tough against every opponent.
