Boys lacrosse began the season
in Florida during March break. Winning 3 games on their southern
swing, the team played solid defense at the start, limiting
opponents to 7 goals a game in the first 6 games on the New
England schedule. Goalie Zach Furshman and defensemen Chris
Taft (lost much of the year due to injury), Brian Hatch, Mark
Koussaya and Bruce Elia led the Lions in their defensive end
from start to finish.
On the offensive end, Greg Furshman, Tyler
Arnot and SJ Brussard began the season strong in Florida while
seniors Ryan Miner and Tim Singer concluded solid careers with
the team. Adrian Sosenko and Marc Bucks shared the Most Improved
Player Award. The team's MVP and All-American, Brian Melvin was
the inspirational and statistical leader from his midfielder
position. Andres Soriano and Evan Chateauneuf also earned season-end
recognition for their contributions.
