Girls Hockey enjoyed a successful season,
matching the highest win total in the program's history by
finishing the season with a record of 11-9-3 - only the second
time the team has finished above .500.
Key contributors on offense included center,
Michelle McKay, right wing Jennifer Pollett and left wing Jordan
Pyers, who finished first, second and third respectively in
total points. Combined, this line tallied 100 points - more
than any girls line in Kent's history.
Defensively, seniors Meredith Danberg-Ficarelli
and Jordan Casey, along with captain-elect Marissa Mullane were
solid from start to finish. Another top defensive player was
newcomer Candace Turnbull who was superb in goal. Candace's save
percentage of .899 and goals against average of 1.76 put her
among the league elite in this category. The team will lose six
sixth-formers but with a good deal of rising talent hopes are
even higher for the coming season.
