Message from the Coach:
Kent softball players represent triple threats; they are passionate athletes, conscientious students, and leaders within the community. Coach Thomsen believes that a culture of excellence is built with a foundation of teamwork and a framework of dedication. Kent softball strives on the teamwork it nurtures on and off the diamond, knowing that communication and confidence are honed through practice and are essential to competitive success.

The program has consistently been based on a strong tradition of integrity, hard work, and sportsmanship. Solid softball is the combination of a strong mental and physical game: practice time is an opportunity to focus on the fast hands, fast feet, and quick decision making essential to the game. By pushing themselves and each other to be better people both inside and outside of practice, Kent softball players are challenged to be their best selves, sharpen their skills, and reach their full potential.

The varsity team is lead by a solid group of young and talented players; we look forward to another successful spring and a bright future. With the support of Assistant Coaches Cibelli and Zimmerman, Coach Thomsen is confident that softball will continue to enjoy success independent from the final tally of victories, by developing outstanding players and more importantly outstanding people.
