Message from the Coach:
Kent’s field hockey program consists of three teams: the highly-competitive varsity, the developmental junior varsity and a 3rds team for students new to the game. The most athletic and skilled players compete at the varsity level, but players of all abilities can find a spot within the program. The varsity team competes at the Division I Level and is a member of the Founders League and the New England Prep School Athletic Association. Several Kent players participate in the US Futures program, and over the years, many have competed at the US Field Hockey Festival held annually over Thanksgiving break.
Kent pursues excellence in all of its programs and I bring passion and love for field hockey to the program. An important aspect of the field hockey squad is the focus on perseverance, respect for self and others, and most importantly, character development. Through the pursuit of healthy habits and participation in competitive athletics, Kent scholar-athletes embrace the level of commitment necessary to achieve their individual goals while recognizing the importance of academic pursuits. I love the daily challenge of inspiring young scholar-athletes and coaches with a high level of enthusiasm. The continuing strength of the program depends on the commitment of new and returning athletes. If you have a passion for the game and are a dedicated scholar-athlete, you could be a valuable addition to the program. If you are interested in a challenging yet rewarding field hockey experience, please contact me. Go Kent!
