Textbook purchases and discretionary spending are additional costs that you and your family should plan for. The amount varies from student to student but approximately $1800 is an average amount. Spending more at the school store, or taking more trips to malls and movie theaters will increase this. As a starting point, we suggest budgeting $25-30 per week and approximately $700 for textbooks. All purchases at the school will be made with a Kent School Debit Card. Draws will also made on the student's debit card account to pay for replacement items, such as room keys, or athletic equipment or to pay for library fines or damage to school property.
