Attending Kent means you'll have your own Kent School Debit Card. You'll use it to pay for things like lab fees, studio fees, or testing fees. You can use it to pay for prescriptions, buy books with it, or pay for music lessons. In fact, all purchases at the school will be made with it, even library fines, and yes, paying for lost debit card or room keys.
Your parents can deposit money into your account at any time by sending a check to the school or wiring money directly to your account. They can also put caps on your weekly discretionary spending, but you should have money to draw from the Student Bank for use off-campus. That means trips into town or to the mall or the movies. And you'll even use your Kent School Debit Card to leave Kent, when you pay for that end-of-the-term ride to the airport.
