Each minor term-contained course counts as 1/6 credit.

Required courses:

  • English each year
  • Classical or Modern Language through the Kent third-year level
  • Mathematics through the courses in Geometry and Algebra 2 & Trigonometry or through the fifth form year (whichever comes later)
  • Science, a minimum of two year-long laboratory sciences
  • Theology minor term-contained course in the fourth form year and major term-contained course in the fifth or sixth form year
  • History—a minimum of two years, one of which must be U.S. History in the fifth or sixth form year
  • Minor term-contained courses in art and music, usually taken in the fourth form year

If you enter freshman year, you must take Third Form seminar, a minor term-contained course in study skills.

If you’ve taken courses in theology, art, or music at a previous school you can take advantage of the Kent school requirements to take more advanced courses or explore new areas of interest.
