If you have not received this information, please contact Pat Devlin at 860.927.6040 Parents Weekend Dear Parent, We look forward to hosting Fall Parents Weekend on October 14th and 15th this year. Our staff will be available to welcome you in the Dickinson Science Building Lobby beginning at noon on Friday and 7:00 a.m. on Saturday. Parent-Teacher Conferences will be scheduled through an Internet-based scheduling system. Instructions on how to login and sign up for conferences are e-mailed on September 30, and scheduling opens on Wednesday, October 5th. Many activities are planned for the weekend and my hope is parents will take part in all or as many as possible. To minimize schedule changes, registration for conferences cannot take place any sooner than October 5. I encourage those making lodging arrangements to plan on a Friday night stay to potentially accommodate the scheduling of conferences on both days. We are able to virtually guarantee conference meeting times for those who make themselves available for Friday and Saturday meetings. We will do our best to accommodate requests for those with restricted availability and will schedule conferences in the most convenient manner for parents. Because of limited meeting times, we can accommodate no more than one family conference with each teacher. With the exception of parents of 6th formers who may schedule meetings with college counselors, conferences are available only for classroom teachers. Conferences with classroom teachers will be ten minutes in duration while those with college counselors will be 15 minutes in length. The scheduling program will notify you of your conference schedule via e-mail. Lodging reservations should be made well in advance.
